My Favorite Things
I participate in a Fan Club dedicated to Mo Jackson, one of my all-time favorite designers. Yesterday one of the members issued a challenge, to create a layout inspired by a Motown tune. I chose the song My Favorite Things by The Supremes.
Of course, all elements are by Mo.
The journaling says:
Gardens of tulips and babbling brooks
Rainbows in springtime and paperback books
White sandy beaches and old tire swings
These are a few of my favorite things.
Cozy fleece blankets and warm flannel sheets
Hot cheesy pizza and chocolate treats
Well worn Levi’s and cashmere stockings
These are a few of my favorite things.
Delicate butterflies and clear starry nights
The smell of patchouli and twinkling lights
Silver and turquoise and diamond earrings
These are a few of my favorite things.
A baby’s first cry and summer parades
My childrens’ smiles and all things homemade
Open air concerts and Kandinsky paintings
These are a few of my favorite things...
Ok, I admit it is a tad cheesy, but hey, it rhymes!
This challenge was just what I needed after a long busy day. It was fun to forget about everything I was *supposed* to be doing and just spend time doing something I *wanted* to be doing.
Off to bed....bye bye for now!
